Dr. Prakash Amte is a renowned Indian social activist and doctor known for his extraordinary service to tribal communities in remote regions of Maharashtra. Along with his wife, Dr. Mandakini Amte, he transformed the lives of the Madia Gond tribe through healthcare, education, and wildlife conservation at the Lok Biradari Prakalp in Hemalkasa. Working under extremely challenging conditions, he brought modern medicine to underserved populations while preserving their dignity and culture. A recipient of the Padma Shri, his life reflects compassion, resilience, and selfless dedication to humanity.
